Thallasaemia

Thalassemia is the most common inherited single gene disorder in the world. Scientists and public health officials predict that thalassemia will become a worldwide issue in the next century.

In the course of running the Arun Kumar Day Care Transfusion Centre, we come across many people with thallasaemia. It is our hope that by providing care and subsidised transfusion and iron reduction therapy, we can make their burden a little easier to bear.
