the TTK group of companies. It was decided that the Rotary Club
would take care of the equipment while the daily operations
would be handled by TTK.

PT Kasturi used his business acument to establish the blood
bank. From persuading the government to allot the land to managing
the publicity - he was enthusiastically involved at every stage.

in Greece. He is remembered with great fondness as an avid Rotarian,

Arun
Kumar, Founding Trustee
An energetic young Rotarian, Arun Kumar was committed to the
idea of improving the lives of people around him. It was this
vision that lead him to take on a key role in setting up the
blood bank. That, and his talent at motivating people to support
good causes.
An entrepreneur involved in manufacturing
perfumes, his people skills were considerable. His natural and
spontaneous empathy for other human beings was clearly reflected
in his devotion to the blood bank. Arun Kumar died at the age
of forty of Leukaemia (Blood Cancer). He left behind a worthy
legacy — our day care transfusion centre is named after
him.
